Richa Sharma's story is an inspiration to married women, empowering them to be confident and pursue their dreams. A proud homemaker from Kolkata, her journey is that of a dreamy rise from being a primary school teacher to winning the Mrs. India International pageant in Atlanta in 2011. A woman with talent, beauty, intellect and captivating personality, she rose to prominence with it, and went on to represent India at the Mrs. International pageant in Chicago, showcasing her grace and poise on a global stage. In 2013, she was appointed as the Global Ambassador of the Mrs. India pageant, further solidifying her role as an advocate for positive change. With her outstanding achievements, she garnered national and international recognition.
Having judged a lot of fashion and beauty pageants, she also made her Bollywood debut on the big screen with Aa Gaya Hero and subsequently portrayed to perfection many characters on the silver screen.
She also has her heart in philanthropic work, and she has been intricately attached to many NGOs in Kolkata. Her commitment to noble causes has been evident throughout her pageant days and beyond, and her endeavors have been acknowledged with various awards, including the prestigious Nari Shakti from LN Mittal. Additionally, she has been honored with accolades such as the Brahmin Samaj, Rotary Sadan, Gaurav Samman, and The Times of India Style Icon.
Balancing personal and professional life is perhaps the biggest challenge for any woman, but Richa has managed it very gracefully. Her journey serves as a reminder that with passion and determination, a woman can shatter barriers and made groundbreaking achievements in any field they choose.
